When I went wet caving, I had the great pleasure of seeing many staligtites forming droplets. The droplet in the hoop is the one forming, while the droplet at the bottom is the one about to drop down to help form the staligmite. I have used glass beads with dyed burgandy colour mother of pearl hoops.
